Roger Federer faced Istomin of Uzbekistan and defeated him in straight sets by 7-5, 6-3. Federer kept his grass court run impressive after winning Wimbledon Championship 2012 on same court at All England Clubs, London.
Novak Djokovic of Serbia, who is currently world no. 2, played 3rd round match against Hewitt of Australia, Djokovic lost to him in first set by 4-6. In 2nd and 3rd sets Djokovic did a strong comeback to win the match by 4-6, 7-5, 6-1.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of france faced Spaniard Feliciano Lopez and defeated him by 7-6, 6-4 in 3rd round match in London Olympics 2012. British favourite Andy Murray played his 3rd round match against Marcos Baghdatis and won against him by 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Del Potro faced Simon in 3rd round of singles, and defeated him 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. Nishikori of Japan defeated world no. 5 David Ferrer of Spain. John Isner of USA has beaten Tipsarevic of Serbia by 7-5, 7-6.
